“… you can spend your whole life being misunderstood, followed around in department stores, looked at funny, accused of crimes you didn’t commit, accused of motivations you don’t have, dehumanized — until you realize, one day, it’s not about you. It’s about perceptions people had long before you even walked onto the scene. The joke’s on them because they’re really just fighting phantoms of their own creation.”—Jay-Z; Decoded. “Invisibility perplexes American common sense and American psychology, which hold as a major governing principle that whatever exists, exists in some quantity and therefore can be measured. If an image in the heart that calls you to your fate exists, and may be strong and long-lasting, has it measurable dimensions? A passion to cage the invisible by visible methods continues to motivate the science of psychology, even though that science has given up the century long search for the soul in various body parts and systems. When the searchers failed to find the soul in places where they were looking, scientific psychology gave up also on the idea of the soul”—James Hillman
“Do not ask me about truth, about the divine, about nirvana, liberation. Do not ask me anything about such things. Just ask me how to reach there. I can show you the path, but I cannot give you the experience, not even in words. The experience is personal; method is impersonal. Method is scientific, impersonal; experience is always personal and poetic.”—Osho (via universoul)
“A single individual cannot offer you perfection, but the whole of humanity, with all its varied characteristics, may do so! Each individual has something which is definitely part of the whole. And this is also why one so far advanced as no longer to know any earthly desires loves all mankind, not one individual, because only the whole of mankind can make the strings of his mature soul, laid bare through purification, sound the chord of heavenly harmony. He bears the harmony within himself, because all strings vibrate!”—Abd-ru-shin
i wouldn’t have believed it myself if i hadn’t experienced it.
within just 24 hours, i wrote a record to give away online, summoned the legendary Infamous Mobb Deep via out of the blue tweets and we released a record together. I became a trending topic Worldwide within 3 minutes of its release and actually penetrated radio. Just heard the news that the Great Zane Lowe will premiere the record in the United Kingdom tonight as ‘The Hottest Record In The World”.
All of the above is attempted daily by major music corporations who have teams of ppl spending excessive amounts of money and still fall short of the goal. My methodology is apparently much better.
i’d like to take this time to quote my mom …”thats pretty damn good son!”
i guess it is.
and this isn’t even a single.
or even a song from my album.
its just a dope ass beat, with some (extra) dope rhymes from me and 2 of My favorite hip hop artists of all time, who woke up yesterday not even knowing they’d be on a record with me a few hours later.
Look at the atmosphere all in a stir.
if i were too bigheaded, right now is probably where i would say, “dog, look around. I’m The Fucking Man!” good thing i’m not too bigheaded.
i wouldn’t have believed it myself if i hadn’t experienced it.

“Nothing is original. Steal from anywhere that resonates with inspiration or fuels your imagination. Devour old films, new films, music, books, paintings, photographs, poems, dreams, random conversations, architecture, bridges, street signs, trees, clouds, bodies of water, light and shadows. Select only things to steal from that speak directly to your soul. If you do this, your work (and theft) will be authentic. Authenticity is invaluable; originality is non-existent. And don’t bother concealing your thievery - celebrate it if you feel like it. In any case, always remember what Jean-Luc Godard said: ‘It’s not where you take things from - it’s where you take them to.’”—Jim Jarmusch (via myquotelibrary)
